The purpose of setting up variable guidance lanes is to ease the traffic pressure on with more under condition ensuring capacity intersection. This study proposes a bi-level model-interactive relationship between lane design and signal control carry out case for road in Wuhan, China. plan goal, combined lane, optimizes timing A real modeled VISSIM simulate scheme verify reliability effectiveness model. results showed that average vehicle delay at intersection was reduced by 20.65% after model optimized. error calculation simulation 9.88%. Moreover, influencing factors proposed are also carried out. show when flow greater than 1,000 pcu/h, optimization effect significant. When gradually increases, calculated smaller. can ensure overall efficiency intersection, improve traffic-stressed lanes, further promote space-time resource utilization optimize resources network, provide scientific basis new ideas methods.
